To celebrate Pompidou Centre’s 40th year, cities throughout France will host a variety exhibitions, theatre, music, and dance performances all year round. The centre was opened in Paris in 1977 as a cultural venue, founded by former president of France, George Pompidou.

The building’s distinctive and modern design of steel and glass has been praised by numerous commentators. Here’s our HD aerial footage of the building today:

Wembley Stadium 10 Year Anniversary

The new Wembley Stadium is now 10 years old. It is England’s largest football stadium, and hosts some of the most important football competitions in the world, such as the FA Cup Final.

Its most distinctive feature – which can be seen from afar and from above – is the magnificent arch that reaches 23ft into the air and stretches from one side of the stadium to another. It’s the longest of its kind in the world, and its purpose is to support the sliding roof.
